County Donegal North Ireland Druid-Viking Celtic Text 700 CE

(October 21, 2025) Macalister reports that this inscription was taken from a squeeze done by the very Rev. Prior on this sacred island. Macalister deposited the squeeze in the Royal Irish Academy.

This inscription was written by a Viking trying to use Latin letters. The Viking culture is revealed by the letter "N" which started out as the Nordic runic style butterfly "N" but later had its cross-line partly erased to make it a Celtic style letter "N."
